Freyja is our Siamese mix kitten who is about 4 months old. Her name comes from the Old Norse meaning "Lady". That was the name of the goddess of love, beauty, war and death in Norse Mythology. Also, her coloring is called Tortieshell which is commonly confused with a Calico. The difference between the two is Calico cats have prominently white on them where Tortieshell's are mainly black.
Cute photo- and good to know the difference between Tortoiseshell and Calico. When we lived in Japan, so many cats had short tails, which we rarely see here.
